Location
Norwood Grand location: Woodlands South MRT and the schools
Norwood Grand is at 2 to 10 Champions Way, Woodlands (District 25), between Woodlands Drive 17 and Woodlands Avenue 1. Woodlands South MRT is about 200 m from the main gate, Innova Primary School is next door, and four more primary schools are within 1 km.
Getting around
- Woodlands South MRT (TE3) on the Thomson-East Coast Line: about 200 m in a straight line from the main gate to Exits 1 and 2, across Champions Way; the developer puts it at about four minutes' walk.
- Along the line: one stop to Woodlands MRT (TE2/NS9), the interchange with the North-South Line, with the bus interchange and Causeway Point; two stops to Woodlands North (TE1), where the RTS Link to Bukit Chagar in Johor Bahru starts; and direct trains south to Orchard and the city.
- By car: the Seletar Expressway (SLE) is within about 500 m, to the south, and the developer also lists the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and the upcoming North-South Corridor.
- By the developer's measures (Google Maps): Woodlands Civic Centre about 1.6 km, Causeway Point and Woodlands MRT about 2 km, and Admiralty MRT about 2.3 km.
Travel times and the longer distances are the developer's, from the sales kit; the 200 m is mine, on OpenStreetMap, from the main gate to the nearest exits. Use a map app for your own route.
Shops, health and parks
Champions Way is a newer corner of Woodlands, between the HDB estates of Champions Green and Champions Bliss and the older blocks along Woodlands Avenue 1. The developer places it near the future Woodlands Regional Centre, which it calls the largest future economic hub in the north, with the Woodlands Health Campus and the Northern Agri-Tech and Food Corridor.
- Next door: ACE The Place Community Club, across Champions Way, and Vista Point shopping centre, across Woodlands Avenue 1 (both listed by the developer within 500 m)
- One MRT stop away: Causeway Point, Woods Square and Woodlands Civic Centre at Woodlands Central; further up, Woodlands North Plaza and Kampung Admiralty
- Health: the Woodlands Health Campus, with its hospital and the Woodlands Healing Garden, a short walk south-east, past Woodlands South MRT
- Parks: the Woodlands (SLE) Park Connector along the expressway, and Admiralty Park and Woodlands Waterfront Park a short drive away

Schools near Norwood Grand
Innova Primary School is next door. Woodgrove, Si Ling, Woodlands Ring and Woodlands Primary are also within 1 km of all four blocks, by my map.
Within 2 km, and older children
Fuchun Primary (about 1.3 to 1.4 km), Qihua Primary (about 1.4 to 1.5 km), Evergreen Primary (about 1.6 to 1.7 km), Admiralty Primary (about 1.8 to 1.9 km) and Greenwood Primary (about 1.8 to 2 km) are within 2 km; none of them is one of the Two-Track schools, and none of those is within 2 km. For older children, the developer lists Christ Church Secondary School and the Singapore Sports School within 500 m, and Republic Polytechnic and the Singapore American School nearby.
Using the address for P1
Under MOE's rules, you can register with the address of a home you've bought before you move in. Norwood Grand is complete, so the homes can be handed over soon after you buy; if the address gives your child priority, you must live there for at least 30 months. For a home bought from the developer, MOE goes by the vacant possession date in your sale and purchase agreement: ask me what it says for the unit you're looking at. The developer's expected date before completion, 31 March 2030, already fits the 2028 registration (children born 2 January 2022 to 1 January 2023) and every year after. How P1 registration works.
Distances are straight lines on the map from the middle of each block to the schools' grounds. The blocks have their own postal codes: 738977 (Block 2), 738975 (Block 6), 738974 (Block 8) and 738953 (Block 10). MOE's official distance category is measured from the school's boundary on OneMap; check it on onemap.gov.sg/school in your registration year.
The blocks and their neighbours
The site is a triangle with Woodlands Drive 17 on the west, Champions Way on the south-east, Woodlands Avenue 1 at its east tip and Innova Primary School on the north. Blocks 2 and 6 run along its south-west side, by Woodlands Drive 17; Blocks 8 and 10 along its north side, beside Innova Primary School. The two rows are about 36 m apart across the pool, by the developer's plan.
So the homes in Blocks 2 and 6 face north-north-east, inward over the pool, or south-south-west, across Woodlands Drive 17 to the 10-storey HDB blocks of Champions Green, which the developer's plan puts 50 to 70 m away. The homes in Blocks 8 and 10 face north-north-west, to Innova Primary School next door (4 storeys) and the 12-storey HDB blocks along Woodlands Avenue 1 beyond, or south-south-east: inward over the tennis court and the pool from Block 8, and over the arrival garden to Champions Way and the Champions Bliss HDB blocks from Block 10. The end stacks also have a side to the east or the west.
