Chencharu Central Residences location: Khatib MRT, Chencharu and the schools
Chencharu Central Residences is at Chencharu Close in Khatib (District 27), in Chencharu, Yishun's newest housing area, between Khatib MRT and Lower Seletar Reservoir. Khatib MRT is about a 6-minute sheltered walk away once the development is finished, and Peiying Primary is within 1 km of the whole site.
Getting around
- Khatib MRT (NS14) on the North–South Line: about a 6-minute walk, fully sheltered once the development is finished, the developer says. On OneMap, the station's exits are about 320 to 580 m from the site in a straight line.
- Orchard is 8 stops from Khatib on the North–South Line, with Ang Mo Kio, Bishan and Toa Payoh on the way.
- An air-conditioned bus interchange is part of the development, directly below the homes, and the Chencharu Link, a 400 m road for buses only, is planned for the new housing area.
- The North–South Corridor, LTA's new expressway from the north to the city, is planned along Sembawang Road on Chencharu's western edge, with an in-ramp by Khatib Camp, just north of Chencharu (ramps subject to LTA's detailed design). Its viaduct from Admiralty Road West to Lentor Avenue is expected to open in phases from 2029, and the tunnel on to the ECP from 2031, LTA says.
- The nearest bus stop today is Before Khatib Station, about 370 m away by PropNex's site report.

Chencharu and Khatib
Chencharu is a new housing area of about 70 hectares by Khatib MRT, bounded by Yishun Avenues 1 and 2 and Sembawang Road. HDB plans around 10,000 new homes there by 2040, at least 80% of them public housing (HDB, June 2024). It's planned around a park with a two-storey colonial bungalow, built in the early 1910s by the Bukit Sembawang Rubber Company and kept by the authorities. Chencharu Central Residences is its first private site, and its mall, hawker centre and bus interchange will serve the whole area.

- Within about 700 m: HomeTeamNS Khatib with its indoor adventure centre (about 210 to 410 m), Yishun Stadium and Yishun Sports Hall (about 410 to 680 m), Naval Base Secondary School (about 390 m) and Safari House Preschool Khatib (about 270 m)
- Further: Lower Seletar Reservoir Park (about 650 to 890 m), Wisteria Mall (about 1.3 km), Chong Pang Market and Food Centre (about 1.7 km), and Northpoint City in Yishun Central

Schools near Chencharu Central Residences
Peiying Primary School is about 90 to 340 m from the site, so the whole development is within 1 km of it, measured in a straight line on OneMap from the school to the site's outline. Naval Base, Jiemin and Northland Primary are 1 to 2 km away.
Older children
Naval Base Secondary School is about 390 m from the site. I'll add the other secondary schools nearby with the floor plans.
Using the address for P1
Under MOE's rules, a new home's address can be used for Primary 1 registration if the vacant possession date in your sale and purchase agreement is no later than 31 December two years after the registration year. The developers haven't announced the completion date yet; once they do, I'll add which registration year it fits. How P1 registration works.
